Oma Helen Markland, age 96 of Warren died March 23, 2014. She was born Jan. 18, 1918 in Johnson, TN the daughter of Henry and Nellie (White) Pierce. She was one of 14 children. She married Arvel Markland in Oct. of 1934, and he preceded her in 1984. She liked to embroider and was an excellent mother. She is the beloved mother of James, Zola Mae, Diane, Donnie, Kenny, Doug, Vernon, Charles, and the late David, Alan, Margaret, and Joe; also leaves many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Service Thursday 10:00 am at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13 1/2 mile) Warren. Visitation Tuesday 3-9 pm and Wednesday 1-9 pm. Burial at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East.
