Pamela Sue Wilson

Pamela Sue Wilson, age 86, passed away on August 1, 2025, at American House Lakeshore in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Pamela is survived by dear friends, Shirley Toussaint, Kathy Williams and adopted family of Chandler & Julie French, Tyler Trumbley and Alex French. Pam was predeceased by her parents, George and Catherine Wilson and her only sister, Dorothy Ann (Wilson) Wright and brother-in-law, Kenneth Wright.

Pamela was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on February 5, 1939. Pam’s father, George, worked for Traveler’s Insurance Company and he transferred to several places, so the family moved often. Family moves took place from Winnipeg to Vancouver in 1948. Then moving to the United States to Duluth, Minnesota in 1951, then onward to Peoria, Illinois in 1955. Upon college graduation, the family moved to Detroit in 1960. Pam was always proud of becoming a naturalized citizen of the US.

Pamela attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois where she attained her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and later in Detroit, attained her Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of Detroit. Pamela held many staff and managerial positions throughout her 38-year career with Detroit Edison/DTE Energy. She relished the camaraderie and competitiveness of her women’s golf leagues. She enjoyed traveling to many places with her dear friend, Shirley. She enjoyed attending plays at Stratford, Petrolia and Niagara on the Lake and continued to have season tickets each year to Meadowbrook.

Pamela had a love of flowers and gardening and later received a designation of Master Gardener. In addition, during retirement, Pam scheduled frequent lunches and movie dates with her many friends. Pam also took some nice Florida golf trips during the winter months.

A visitation for Pamela will be held Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at An H Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. Rosary at 4:45 pm A visitation will occur Monday, August 11, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea School, 467 Fairford Rd, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 467 Fairford Rd, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236.
