Roger John Distler, 76, of Warren, went home to be with the Lord October 16, 2018. He was born in Detroit Michigan on June 21, 1942 the son of Roger and Margaret Distler (nee Wolvin). Beloved father of Tim (Charlene), Todd (Kim), and the late Michael; proud grandfather of Thomas (Liz) and great- grandfather of Troy, Trevor, and Haley; He was preceded by his parents, and his sister Yvonne. Roger was a truck driver for H.J. Oldenkamp Company; he was a talented artist and was involved in Prison Ministry and Celebrate Recovery at his church; he enjoyed music, art, and his family. The family will receive friends Sunday 2-9 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13 1/2 mile) Warren. Service Monday at 11 am at Woodside Bible Church, 27300 Hoover Rd, Warren.
