Theresa Cornett

Theresa Cornett passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was born in Port Austin, Michigan on March 5, 1931, the daughter of Albert and Anna (nee Ignash) Jaworski. She married Jerome Cornett at St. Edward Catholic Church in Kinde, Michigan. Together they had five wonderful children. Theresa is a member of St. Thecla Catholic Parish and she loved to travel and go bowling. Beloved wife of Jerome "Jerry" Cornett. Dear mother of Denise (Glenn) Martin, Susan (Paul) Bontekoe, Christopher (Corry) Cornett, Paul (Kelly) Cornett, and Matthew (Sherry) Cornett. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and a brother Robert Jaworski. She was preceded in death by her grandson Daniel. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd. at Masonic, Warren, MI. Instate Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 9:30 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Thecla Catholic Church, 20740 South Nunneley Rd., Clinton Township, MI. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, MI. Memorial contributions to the Capuchins Soup Kitchen, 1820 Mt. Elliott, Detroit, MI 48207 would be appreciated.
