

Thomas Alan Amori age 68 passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 21, 2018. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann (nee Resmer) Amori, devoted children Elissa (Joe) Choma, Brian (Jennifer), Kevin and his five adoring grandsons Anthony, Oscar, Christopher, Charlie and Nicholas. He was predeceased by his parents Oscar and Delores Amori. He is survived by his brothers Jim (Rita) and Bob (Lisa) Amori, brother-in-law Daniel Resmer and sisters-in Law Geri (Mike) Tellier, Marge (Gus) LaRuffa and Barbara (Steve) Kilcline and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Tom was a lifelong resident of Grosse Pointe and was in the charter Kindergarten class at Ferry Elementary School and graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in 1967. He went on to earn a B.S. degree in industrial engineering at Eastern Michigan University where he met his cherished wife, Mary Ann.They were married in 1974 and had three children. Tom was proud to have worked at Ford Motor Company for 33 years. While there he was involved in the quality control and launch of the Taurus and the Ford GT. Tom had many talents. He loved photography and recording family memories on video, worked as a DJ in college and a sound engineer at CKLW during his summers home from college. Rock and roll music was his favorite genre and he played drums. Tom could repair just about anything including cars, small engines and electrical appliances. He loved and appreciated vintage cars as well. He was a hands on Dad helping to coach and attending little league and hockey games. Tom will be most remembered for the love he had for his family and friends and his selfless ways of making others happy. Visitation Friday 2:00 pm- 9:00 pm with scripture 7:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan 48236 Funeral Saturday, instate ; 11:30 am until time of Mass 12:00 noon at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48080.
