Thomas Richard Ziemiecki

Thomas Richard Ziemiecki, age 30, a resident of St. Clair Shores passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Karmanos Cancer Institute after a hard fought battle with leukemia. Tom was born February 16, 1988 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania to James and Karen. Tom was a graduate of Grosse Pointe North High School class of 2006. While attending high school Tom enjoyed playing baseball. He was a proud member of the Grosse Pointe North 2006 State Championship Baseball Team as a pitcher. He was an excellent cook. He worked as a line cook at Emiril's New Orleans, he also worked in Las Vegas at some of the fine restaurants there he was very skilled and enjoyed his craft. Tom was an avid supporter of Detroit Tigers Baseball and the University of Michigan Football. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Grosse Pointe Woods. He was a fighter and his strength of spirit will be missed. Beloved son of Dr. James Ziemiecki and Karen Schumer. Loving brother of Laura (Casey) Leder and James Ziemiecki, Jr. Adoring uncle of Henry and Greta Leder. Furkids Rylee, DJ, and Oliver. Tom is also survived by many loving family members and friends. Visitation Sunday from 2-8PM at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave at Vernier Rd, Grosse Pointe Woods, 48236 In state Monday 10 AM at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 20338 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods until time of service 11AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery Clinton Township.
