

William "Bill" Dunlop passed away with his family by his side at St. John Hospital on September 11, 2011. He was born in Detroit on March 8, 1932; son of William Allen and Janet Armstrong (nee Kerr) Dunlop. Mr. Dunlop was a member of the Carpenter's Local 26. He was a well regarded carpenter assisting in the construction of many of the metro area's commercial buildings. Bill loved to travel. He enjoyed motorcycling, camping, and doing the daily crossword puzzles. He was extremely proud of his Scottish heritage. His biggest love in life was his family. He leaves behind his wife Peggy. He was proud of his daughters Stacey Dunlop and Janet (Eric) McAllister and son Bill (Kirstin) Dunlop. He was predeceased by his son Steven. He adored his grandchildren Eddie, Adam, Paul, James, Caitlin, Liam, Jonathan, and Quinn. He is survived by his sisters Jean Corbett and Dorothy Kilgo, and brother Donn Dunlop. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 17 at Noon at Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church 11451 E. 10 Mile Rd., Warren. The Reverend Matthew Means will officiate. Bill's family will receive guests at 10:00 am at the Church.
