William "Bill" L. Van Way, age 87 of Warren, died April 24, 2009. He was born March 24, 1922 in Detroit the son of Kelvin and Harriet (Sieracki) Van Way. He was a retired machinist in the automotive field. He was a member of the Eagles club in Eastpointe. He enjoyed fixing and remodeling old cars, conversations, working on the cottage in Wellston, MI, he was an excellent carpenter, going out to eat and visiting with people to find out the latest gossip, he was a self taught artist, he loved going to church and was a devout Catholic, and he loved all his grandchildren and being with them. Beloved husband of Leona, loving father of Tommie (Teresa) Van Way, Kenneth Van Way, Cindy Teed, Marlene (Tod) Jenkins, William Jr. (Lynne Currin) Van Way, and Diane Roosa. Dear grandfather of 14, Great grand father of 8, Brother of Barbara Crawford, also survived by his loving pet, Sadie.
