

Born on August 10, 1937, to the late Gale and Velda Daulton, Alan spent his entire life in Columbus, where he built lasting friendships and a life filled with cherished memories.
Alan attended West High School and served in the Army Reserves. He was a longtime employee of the Anthony-Thomas Candy Company before retiring from the Lazarus Print Shop after many dedicated years of service.
Alan enjoyed traveling and especially treasured summers spent boating on Buckeye Lake. He also had a special passion for his historical Rolls-Royce automobile, which brought him much pride and enjoyment over the years.
In addition to his parents, Alan was preceded in death by his partner, Henry Bell.
He is survived by his sister, Sharon Rice; niece and nephew, Terri (Pete) Nino and Joe (Jessica) Rice; great-nieces, Jessica (Shane) McDowell and their children Brody, Dalton, and Brystal, and Kyleigh (Kevin) Byas and their children Trissa, Shilo, and River; his best friends, David Blankenship, Darin England, and Gordon O'Reilly; along with many dear friends who will miss him greatly.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 1, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Schoedinger Norris Grove City. A funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the same location, with interment immediately following at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
