

He was born March 7, 1995, in Columbus, Ohio, to his loving parents Julia and Jason.
Corey was a loving son, father, fiancé, brother, and uncle. He was always the first to offer a helping hand and was known as a protector to those he cared for. His smile lit up every room, his hugs were filled with warmth, and he made friends wherever he went.
Corey had a passion for welding and took pride in his work, becoming a talented and dedicated welder. He was employed by Beaver Construction and the Local 200 Carpenters Union, and he previously worked at Wabash Trailers.
Outside of work, Corey enjoyed spending time in nature, especially fishing, hunting, and kayaking with his family and friends. These activities were a meaningful part of his life and something he always looked forward to. He shared countless early mornings in the woods and peaceful days on the water with the people he loved. Among those memories were the times he spent hunting with his Uncle Joe and fishing with Brian; moments he valued deeply along with all the time he spent outdoors with many others who were important to him.
Corey is survived by his father Jason (Regina) Tinnes and his mother Julia (Brian Ott) Grayson, as well as his stepfather Chad Grayson. He leaves behind his fiancé Loryn Gilmore and his beloved daughter Evalyn Tinnes, who brought him his greatest joy. He is also survived by his sisters Courtney and Celina Tinnes, Julia (Joe) Hall, and Joanna (Josh) Brunney, his brother Chris Boring, and his grandmother Leslie Burger.
Corey’s family circle extends to many aunts and uncles, including Joe (Angie) Tinnes, Trisha (Tim) Uhor, Mike Tinnes, Jimmy, Ona Tinnes, Tammy (Jeff) Schmidt, Martey Harris, Melissa Wright, and Natalie McDonald. He shared countless memories with a large group of cousins: Todd (Shelly) Tinnes, Nick (Heather) Tinnes, Josiah, Brayleigh, Madeline, Harper, Dakota, Clifford, Rosie, Raymond, Jeremy, John Tinnes, David, Tiffany, Jared, Shelby, Axel, Lilly, Cheyenne, Brieayl, Nevaeh, Jaylen, Michael, Zachary Rollason, Caiden Rollason, Wayne Foughty Jr., Ryan, Parker, and Ryker McDonald. His love also reached his nieces and nephews Nathan Wurts, Kylie Grayson, Baily Brunney, Nick, Chris, Maddox, Aubrey, and Harrison Hall.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Arthur Larry Harris, Patricia Baker, Jarrod Tinnes, and Carol and Charles Grayson.
A visitation will be held at Schoedinger Norris Grove City, located at 4242 Hoover Road, Grove City, Ohio. Visitation will take place on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same location on December 16, 2025, beginning at 12:00 pm.
