

Don Bryant, age 75, passed away at Kobacker House with his wife by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Kathleen (Huninghake) Bryant. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Jane (Breckenridge) Bryant, brother, Stephen L. Bryant, brother-in-law, David R. Breckenridge, nieces and nephews, Suzanne (Alan) Harold, Jeff (Jenni) Breckenridge, Julie (Scott) Odachowski, great nieces and nephews, Caroline Harold, Andrew Harold, Ben Breckenridge, Heather Odachowski, along with a host of friends. Don graduated in 1966 from Dawson Bryant High School, Coal Grove, Ohio and was called to serve in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War (1967-1973). Upon return to the United States he worked full time at Allied Chemical in Ironton, Ohio, while working on completing his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Ohio University. Don relocated to Columbus, and was employed for 15 years at Battelle Memorial Institute in Business Administration and eventually became a Contracts Negotiator for Industrial Research. He met Jane while working at Battelle. They loved to travel and more recently they enjoyed traveling to Maine, South Dakota, and the Southeast United States. In addition they enjoyed spending time in Siesta Key, Florida, every January and February. Don enjoyed listening to National Public Radio and keeping up on current events thru them. He enjoyed reading biographies, Civil War historical books, and history in general. He was a caring and giving person who supported WOSU Public Media, the Salvation Army, and the American Red Cross. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 1-4 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd. Grove City with Military Honors at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to WOSU Public Media (wosu.org)
