Douglas A. Lowe

Douglas Alan Lowe passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 68. He was born on February 5, 1957 in Howell, Michigan to the late Rodney John and Mae Marie (Glover) Lowe. He retired from the City of Columbus after 26 years of service.

Doug was a passionate deer hunter who cherished many successful seasons, both on his own and alongside his sons. He also earned distinction as a multi-state Snowplow Rodeo Champion.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Lowe, Russell Lowe, and Daniel Lowe.

Doug is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Cindy (Smith) Lowe; sons, Jacob (Jaime) Lowe and Tyler (Jessie) Lowe; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Mason, Oliver, and Daniel; sisters, Margaret Paris and Barbara (Dick) Guyer; brother, Dennis (Nancy) Lowe; and many other relatives and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Concord Cemetery, 6244 Hoover Rd., Grove City, Ohio 43123. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Doug’s memory to ODNR Natural Areas and Preserves (https://apps.ohiodnr.gov/NaturePreserves/naturepreservesdonation/)
