Eva "Patty" Thurston

Patty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Thurston, with whom she shared 61 wonderful years of marriage; her mother, Rose; her sisters, Jeanie, Shirley, and Catherine; and her son-in-law, Ron France.

She is survived by her loving children, Bill (Diane) Thurston, Tom (Amy) Thurston, Tammy France, and Peggy (Curt) Johnson; her siblings, Joann (Charley) Cantley, Mary Wood, and Francis Bettes; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, dear friends, and all whose lives she touched.

Patty was proudly known as the family’s “Crazy Cat Lady,” a nickname she embraced with a smile. She enjoyed camping, playing bingo, and spending hours playing all types of card games. Above all, she cherished family gatherings and treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and extended family.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Grove City. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Dan Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Grove City West Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Lincoln Village Assisted Living and the Riverside Neurology Unit for the compassionate care they provided to Patty.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Columbus Humane Society, 3015 Scioto Darby Executive Court, Hilliard, Ohio 43026.

Patty’s warmth, humor, and love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
