Frederick Joseph Champa, 84, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday September 13, 2022. Fred was born on January 5, 1938, in Columbus, Ohio and was a son of the late Carl and Frances (Esposito) Champa. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Grove City. He spent most of his career as a Lab Technician, first at National Electric Coil and then Anheuser Busch Columbus Brewery where he retired as Quality Control Supervisor after 25 years. He loved his family and the game of golf, taking particular pleasure in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death 12 years ago by his wife of 53 years, Patricia Champa; daughter Karen; brothers Nick (Judy), Carl Jr. (Suzi) and sister Patty (Mario). He is survived by his daughters Monica (Bill), Terri (Chris), Vicky, and Angi (John); son Fred; grandchildren Kevin, Jessica (Jim), Samantha, and Anthony; great-grandchildren Bowen, Ella and Dawson; numerous nieces and nephews; and many cousins and dear friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., (HOOVER RD AT KINGSTON AVE), Grove City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am Monday, September 19, 2022 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3730 Broadway, Grove City. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
