Silas Dane Nicholas Smith

Born at Ohio State University Hospital on July 7, 2025, Silas brought immeasurable joy and love to his parents, Christian and Tricia Smith. Though his time with us was heartbreakingly short, he left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Silas was taken from us far too soon, due to a heart condition, leaving his family with hearts both full of love and aching with sorrow. His brief presence in this world was a reminder of how precious life is, and how deeply he will be cherished forever.

Silas is survived by his loving parents, Christian and Tricia Smith, his siblings Tre Valenti, Jameson Smith and Farrah Smith. He is also mourned by his extended family, including Clinton Smith, Jim and Mabel Davis, Emery and Marsha Smith, Paul and Sheri Davis, Dane and Sharhonda Smith, Nicholas Smith, Daniel and Emily White, as well as multiple cousins. He was preceded in death by Dennis and Ruth Pryor, Bonnie Smith, Sophie Dixie Roberts and Shannon Smith.

A visitation to honor Silas’ memory will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Schoedinger Norris Grove City, 4242 Hoover Road, Grove City, OH 43123. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Family, friends, and loved ones are welcome to join the family in remembering Silas’ short, yet deeply meaningful life.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Silas’s name to The TEARS Foundation at 11102 Sunrise Blvd. E., Suite 112, Puyallup, WA 98374, to assist parents in our situation with the funeral expenses of children.
