Susann Geoit

Susann attended Lapeer High School. She Married Kenneth Geoit of Lapeer on November 26, 1955. Susann worked for the Lapeer City School district as a Lunch Lady for many years, First at Lapeer West High and later at Lapeer East High before retirement. She was known for her extra-large Cinnamon Rolls and tasty Apple Crisp. Susann enjoyed golfing, and was in a Ladies Golf League in Florida where she and Kenneth wintered. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, especially her grandchildren. She liked to knit and crochet, and enjoyed fishing and camping. Susann and Kenneth were active with both the local Elks Lodge and the Eagles Lodge and enjoyed hosting cook outs and bonfires for friends and family.

Susann is survived by her son: Jay (Cindy) Geoit of Hilliard Ohio; sister in-law Katherine Frank of Lapeer, son in-law Bryan Gawlas of North Branch, longtime companion Fred Kneer of Debary, Florida; grandchildren: Natalie (Brian) Tackes of Fostoria, Nicolas (Stacy) Gawlas of Attica, Ryan (Kristen) Geoit of Columbus Ohio, Matthew (Elizabeth) Gawlas of North Branch and Mitchell Geoit of Cleveland, Ohio, great-grandchildren: Marlena, Lucillia, Izadora, Kimberly, James and Isaac, and being the youngest of twelve siblings, she had many many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Kenneth; daughter Kendra (Byran) Gawlas; parents: Otis and Vera Powell: brothers: Irwin, Earl, Churcill, Otis Jr, Bill, Dick and Gerry; sisters: Virgina Cook, Ileatha Crotteau, Betty Brauer and Rose Middleton.
