William Raymond "Ray" Irwin

William Raymond “Ray” Irwin, age 86 of Grove City, formerly of Zanesville passed away Monday, October 17, 2022. Ray was born in Fresno, CA to the late William and Esther (née Crumpton) Irwin. Following graduation from high school Ray proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps attaining the rank of Corporal and earning a Good Conduct Ribbon. He was a longtime and faithful member of the Tree of Life Church in Zanesville. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, photography and anything outdoors. He was protective of his family and when he made his mind up to do something he went all in. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Patricia Haugen; and brother-in-laws Tim Conkey and Lou Lucia. Ray is survived by his wife of 12 years (together for 23 years) Janie Irwin; children Tonya (Joe) Huffman and Jason (Crystal) Kingcade; grandchildren J.J., Caleb, Kadence, Allison, Serenity, Kevin, and Sundae Huffman, Austin and Jayden Kingcade; Tracy and Raelynn; brothers Jesse (Libby) and Jim Irwin; sisters Sandra Lucia and Carol Grigsby; brother-in-law Wally Haugen; and sister-in-law Lisa Conkey along with many nieces, nephews and friends . Ray’s family will receive friends 9-9:30 AM Monday, October 24 at Schoedinger Grove City 4242 Hoover Rd (Hoover Rd at Kingston Ave) where his funeral service will follow at 9:30 AM.
