

Gary Shyu, age 63, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021, at Mt. Carmel Grove City. Gary attended Furen University and The Ohio State University where he received his master's degree in fine art specializing in Photography. He is the current owner of China Bell restaurant and Hole in 1 Lounge Grove City, which he has owned since 1988. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Cathy, sons, Andrew Blue Shyu and Michael Paul Shyu, and 2 sisters. Gary was the owner and operator of China Bell restaurant and Hole in 1 Bar and Bourbon Bar. He was an accomplished chef who enjoyed cooking for his family and customers, a bourbon fan and that is why he started his bourbon bar, most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife and sons. Gary was a member of Pinnacle Golf Club which is one of his other passions, golf. His Hole in 1 bar is recognition for his love of the game of golf. Gary's other hobbies included painting and photography. A time to celebrate the life of Gary Shyu will be held on Saturday, January 1, 2022, from 12-7 pm at China Bell restaurant 1947 Stringtown Rd. Grove City, OH 43123. The restaurant will be closed for food that day, but there will be a cash bar for those who would like to have a drink with Gary. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY.
