

PORT ARTHUR — Bert Lee LeDoux, 74, of Port Arthur passed away on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He was born August 25, 1936 to Effie Daigle LeDoux and Melvy LeDoux in Church Point, Louisiana. He graduated from Port Neches- Groves High School in 1955 and attended Lamar University. He has been a resident of the area for over 60 years. Bert worked as a sales representative for Quaker State Oil for 10 years, then O’Reilly Auto for 15 years before he retired. He also worked in maintenance for Hayes Real Estate. He was affiliated with St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church in Port Arthur.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday, May 20, 2011 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson. Burial of his cremains will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Herman LeDoux.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Schexnayder LeDoux of Port Arthur, his son, Britt LeDoux and his wife Deanna of Kingwood, Texas, his grandchildren, Darcy and Blake LeDoux both of Kingwood.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
