Carlos was born November 20, 1922 in Nacaome, Honduras to Pedro Nunez and Teodora Gomez. He was a resident of Port Arthur for 49 years and member of St. James Catholic Church. He was a merchant marine and retired after 40 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Nunez of Port Arthur, TX; daughter, Carolina Nunez of Port Arthur, TX; sons, Carlos Nunez, Jr. and wife, Danita of Panama City Beach, FL and Miguel Nunez of Port Arthur, TX; sister, Graciela Larios of Honduras; two grandchildren, Olivia Nunez and Raya Nunez.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
