He attended Thomas Jefferson High School then started his employment of 42 years with the Gulf Oil Corp. at the age of 16. He married Amy Louise Broussard.
He enlisted in the Army in 1942 and was a WWII Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Amy Broussard Andrus.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 10 AM Thursday, June 9, 2011 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Andrus and wife Norma of Austin, Allen Andrus and wife Shelley of Nederland, grandchildren, Amy Andrus, Alaina Ritchey and husband Brent and Andy Andrus.
