She was born in 1929 in Port Arthur, she graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and Lamar College and worked at Thomas Jefferson High School and C. O. Wilson Junior High as a science teacher. She and her husband, James of 64 years, traveled and enjoyed life extensively.
She is survived by her husband, James Cozad of Port Arthur, her son James Cozad, Jr. and wife Marsha, her daughter Brenda Lynch and husband Larry, her son Donald Cozad and wife Ann, her son Bryan Cozad and wife Nancy, her daughter Rachel Redfearn, 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, her sisters, Faye Joyce Chadwick, Barbara Brunson, Rose Mary Davis, Jo Ellen Caveness and her sister-in-law, Betty Jo Holland.
She is predeceased by her brother, Chubby Neal Holland.
