

James Charles Kaiser, 66, of Port Acres died January 30, 2012 at his residence. Born May 29, 1945 in New York, New York, and resident of the area most of his life, he was the son of Jean Vigliotti Kaiser. A United States Marine Corps veteran, James was employed in the oil industry. He enjoyed duck and deer hunting, was a member of a gun club and collected guns. While in the Marines, he was a sharp shooter and also recognized as a sharp shooter in the gun club.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Kaiser of Port Acres; daughter, Jeannie Johnson and her husband, Chad of Nederland; son, James Michael Kaiser of Port Acres; grandchildren, Jordon Kaiser, Samantha Kaiser, Preston Johnson, Alexis Johnson and Carson Johnson; cousins, Michael “Junior” Martin of Taylors Landing and Vincent “Vinny” Martin of Florida; and his beloved dogs, Ginger, Peanut, Jax, and Tiny.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012 at St. James Catholic Church, 3617 Gulfway Drive, Port Arthur followed by entombment at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday evening, February 1, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited 6:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
