The Bunco Ladies of Courtside met Lois through Gloria. After we lost Gloria, we witnessed Roy Baccus taking care of Lois, like he took care of Gloria...what a blessing he was to both. We miss Gloria and now we will miss Lois.

My aunt Lois was such a special person to me.  I will miss her greatly.  

"Beauty" Lois (the name as she loved and expected us to call her) will be missed but never be forgotten.  I take comfort that she and my mother (Pat Moriarty) are finally together again.

Lois's late daughter Gloria was a friend and former coworker of mine.  Upon meeting Lois on several occasions I found her to be a delightful and very intelligent person.  I can see where Gloria got many of her great qualities.  My condolences to remaining family members and friends. The world is a poorer place without Lois and Gloria.

My Aunt Lois (aka "Beauty" Lois) was a force.  She was a mentor to me from caring for animals to gardening and maintain a lovely home.  When I was a young teenager I ventured from Montana to Texas to stay with Lois and Gene. I remember her lovely home in Summerwood.  She took me to "ladies" luncheons and pool parties.  Her "cat room" in her home was filled with cubbies for all the cats that she had so generously and lovingly adopted over the years. She treated them like family. She was a one woman soldier in the fight to rescue and take care of unwanted pets.  She ALWAYS had room in her home and heart for another.  I went home to Montana from that trip with my 1st puppy as a young adult.  

My mother and Lois were two peas in a pod.  They used to spend hours on the phone together across the miles from Montana to Texas.  They used to tease each other about who was the youngest or most beautiful.  I know they left a string of broken hearts in their youth.  They both had wit, intelligence and strength.  My memories of Lois were always full of laughter.

Lois was refined, classy and independent with a knack for art, gardening and style. Her devotion to her animals and working to save the unwanted animals is unparalleled.  It was her purpose in life.  "Bless his heart" she would exclaim greeting every animal she came into contact with- I can still hear her voice in my ears.  Lois is and always will be in my heart and I know there is a special place for her in heaven where she is now reunited with her daughter who was the light of her life and my mother and Gram.  I can hear their giggling now.

You will be missed Beauty Lois.  I am so very grateful Mike and I were able to visit you these last few months.  We treasure that time spent with you and only wish we could have planted that garden this spring.  I will plant flowers for you in my garden to remember you by.  Love you more than I knew how to tell you--your niece, Maureen (aka "Mernie baby")

I will always remember Lois with a smile. She was such a determined lady when it came to finding homes for pets.  I do remember those days of "Pets On Parade" and the bedlam of transporting and showing pets on the TV show.  I always kept up with Lois through the years and will miss her very much.

I can still remember Lois with her smile and love for animals.  I do remember well our "Pets On Parade" TV show in Beaumont.  Saving animals was a true passion of hers.  I will miss my phone calls with Lois.  She was a very special lady in my life.
