Myrtle Marie Rice Estes

Myrtle M. (Rice) Estes, 84, of Woodville, TX passed away on December 12, 2016. Born October 23, 1932 in Spurger, TX to Adam Spencer Rice and Mary Eliza Sheffield Rice, she lived in La Belle before moving to Woodville in 1982.

Myrtle was a housewife and a member of First Baptist Church of Woodville. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Howard Russell Estes; her brothers Donald Rice, Carrell Rice, Enoch Rice, Elmer Rice, and Virgil Ray Rice; her sister Mae Rice Hatton; and her granddaughter Carrie Estes Hadel. Left to cherish her memories are her sons Douglas Wayne Estes of Nederland, TX and Glenn Alan Estes of Blanchard, LA; daughter Joan Elaine Estes of Woodville, TX; four grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Services for Myrtle will be held Thursday, December 15, 2016, at 11:00 am with Brother Ryan Tucker officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the start of service. There will be a graveside service at 3:00 pm at the Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, TX.

Services are under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.
