Bernard Bernie Rivard

Rivard, Bernard Laurent (Bernie) -- Peacefully, at the Guelph General Hospital on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Bernie Rivard, in his 82nd year, was the loving father of Mark, Brian and his wife Colleen of Edmonton, Alberta, Denise Rivard-Lovett and her husband Mike of Mississauga, and Monique Colette Rivard and her partner K.C. Phillips of Guelph. He was the proud grandfather of Sarah McOrmond, and Royce Rivard. Bernie was the dear brother of Jean Rivard of Rosemere, Quebec, and the late Marcelle. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Bernie will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Rosary Church 175 Emma St., Guelph, on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
