It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather, Brian Tanti. After a courageous battle, Brian passed away in the early morning of October 17th. He’s the son of the late Joseph Tanti and the late Anne Marx (nee Sayers). He is survived by the love of his life, Grace, his children David Tanti and his grand-puppy Oreo, Amanda and Jim McCollum, and his two grandchildren Jonny and Sofia McCollum. He is also survived by his sister, Carrie Tanti, parents-in-law Antonietta and Virgilio Albanese, Uncle Aldo Albanese, sister-in-law Mary Graziotto-Krusky and family, and many other family and friends.
Brian lived in Guelph all his life. Earlier in life he loved camping and fishing and building go-carts. He had a passion for woodworking and enjoyed using his skills to make seasonal decorations for their home. Brian and Grace’s home was featured in Guelph Mercury one year for his outstanding wood Christmas decorations that brought so much joy to the neighbourhood. He had a love for classic cars and enjoyed going to car shows. Brian also very much enjoyed watching wrestling, and spending time with his family. He had so much pride in his children and grandchildren and was passionate about instilling good values and traditions in them, as well as also making them laugh.
