Catherine Patricia Tracy

TRACY, Catherine Patricia: (B.Sc., M.H.Sc., C.I.H.) - Catherine graduated from University of Waterloo and University of Toronto where she spent some of her happiest times. Born in Wychbold, Worcestershire, England on April 13, 1956, Cathy lost her valiant 4 year battle with a brain tumour in Guelph, on March 19, 2009. She fought it with the same determination as she applied to tackling her career, marathons, triathlons, skiing, swimming and mountain biking. She was a devoted and proud mother of Colin; beloved daughter of Pat and Jeff Tracy, who always considered Friday the 13th to be a lucky day. Loving sister to Leslie (Mary Anne) in B.C. She will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends in Canada, Britain, and New Zealand. Thanks for all the love and support you have shown. At 3 years old, when on the "Express of Britain" in the mid-Atlantic, in typical Cathy style, she said, "Mommy, me's had enough now, let's get off and go home". She was renowned for her infectious laugh, smile, and sense of humour. Loved and respected in the health and safety field, Cathy was employed with Peel District School Board as the Environmental Health and Safety Officer. Previously, with the M.T.O. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Cathy's life will be held sometime this summer. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice Wellington or the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
