TAYLOR, Derek Baughan - Peacefully at his home in Guelph, on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Thora Anne Taylor (nee Austen) and his late wife Barbara Taylor. Loving father of Warrick Taylor (Annette) and Amanda Knight (Mike) of England; step-father of Kathryn Colley (Robert), Barbara MacDiamid (Mark), Linda Colley-Burton (Bruce), Robert Colley (Joan) and David. Dear grandfather of Charlotte and William Taylor, Emily and Victoria Knight of England; step-grandfather of Devan, Kelsey, Chad, Catherine, James and Steven. Derek is also survived by his brother Colin and sister-in-law Margaret. Predeceased by his brother Allan and sister-in-law Sylvia. He divided his time in Hinds Head Surrey, England and Caledonia, ON, he recently moved to Guelph to be with his family. Derek will be greatly missed by his family and friends in Canada and in England. A Celebration of Derek's Life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church (20 Quebec St., Guelph) on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 3 p.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
