Dorothy Wilhelmina Viola Becker

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dorothy Becker(Peter). Dorothy passed away June 21, 2026, Father's Day at the Guelph General Hospital at the age of 92. Born in Normanby Township to the late Edward Peter and Alvena (Ortman). Predeceased by her husband, the love of her life for 71 years , Gerard Becker. Loving mother to Ryan Becker (Joanne), Laurie Engler (Mike) and Lisa Kurtz (Barry). Proud grandmother to Christopher Becker, Marla Hayston (Jeff), Brandon Kurtz and Nicole McTavish (Rob). Cherished great grandmother to Hudson and Bennett Hayston. Predeceased by her brothers Wilfred Peter (Ethel), William Peter, Lloyd Peter (Georgia) and sister Velma Peter.

Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her realized what a gentle and caring woman she was. Dorothy was a beautiful , loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a true friend to many. She enjoyed following the kids to their various sports and a good euchre game. She was an avid gardener. She was a strong woman who conquered many health issues in her lifetime and came out fighting. She worked alongside Gerard, Ryan and Lisa at Superior Furniture Refinishers for many years and helped build it into a successful business. She will be greatly missed to all that knew her.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the exceptional staff at Riverside Glen for their love, care, and compassion . The care and support were truly wonderful and greatly appreciated.

A private family service will take place. Inurnment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements with Gilbert MacIntyre and Son ,252 Dublin St., Guelph.
