PONTELLO, Elizabeth (Bessie) Jean The family is saddened to announce the passing of Elizabeth (Bessie) Jean (nee Barbaro) Pontello, in her 87th year, at the LaPointe Fisher Nursing Home, Guelph, on Sunday, June 20, 2010. She was the beloved wife, for sixty-five years, of Louis C. Pontello. Bessie was the much loved mother of Carol Blythe, Kathryn (Brian) Joyce, and the late Michael (July 19, 2009). She was the loved grandma of Leanne (Ray) Stultz, David (Michelle) Blythe, Graham Joyce and Nicole Joyce, and was the great-grandma of Jackson, Claire, and Matthew. Bessie was the beloved sister of Gus (Pearl) Barbaro, Margaret Cameron and Phyllis Cirotto. She was predeceased by her sister Anne Webster. Bessie will be sadly missed by her treasured life-long friend, Ruby Thomason, and she will be fondly remembered by Michelle Carere. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Bessie will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. John's Church, 45 Victoria Rd. N., Guelph, on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Guelph Wish Foundation for Children or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
