Mrs. Freda D’Cruz passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Saturday August 29, 2026, at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Aloysius D’Cruz (2020). Loving mother of the late Anna Marie D’Cruz (1989). Freda was a pediatric nurse at Guelph General Hospital for 23 years. Freda was a member of the Catholic Women’s League and a volunteer at St. Vincent De Paul Society for many years. Freda was extremely creative and artistic; she loved to draw, paint, play the piano, cook and garden.
She will be deeply missed by her extended family and friends who have many wonderful memories of their years spent with her. Freda was delighted to be able to meet her great-grandnephew Felix, shortly before she passed away.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will take place at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma Street, Guelph at a later date. Entombment at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
