Predeceased by her beloved husband, James—whom she met in Malaysia during his overseas posting in banking—Mary was the devoted mother of David (Denise), Michael, and John, and a proud grandmother to Kelsey, Adam, Tyler, and Alexander.
Mary dedicated many years of service as a secretary for the Professional Association of Protestant Teachers in Montreal. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and extended family.
An avid gardener, enthusiastic tennis player, bridge partner, and longtime member of the local quilting club, Mary embraced life with energy and grace. Her love for animals—especially Cairn Terriers—was matched only by her ever-present smile and generous spirit.
She touched many lives with her kindness and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Cremation has taken place. A private interment will take place in Merrickville, Ontario. As expressions of sympathy, donations in memory of Mary to the Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
