

SIM, Gladys Alberta— Passed away, peacefully, at the Elliott Community, Guelph, on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Gladys Alberta (nee Kirkpatrick), age 88 years, was the beloved wife of the late William Arthur Green (1983) and the late William Cumming Sim (2006) and she was the dear friend of the late John Henry (2013). Gladys was the dear mother of the late Susan White (2015) and Scott Green (Melanie) and the loving grandmother of April White and Chelsea and Bryce Green. Gladys is survived by her sister Mable Allen and by her sister-in-law Ruby Kirkpatrick. She was predeceased by her brothers George, Elwin, Edgar and Fred Kirkpatrick and by her sister Violet Elliott. Gladys was a dedicated nurse, mother and grandmother. She was the former founder and owner of the Oxford Regional Nursing Home, in Ingersoll, Ontario. Gladys was proud of her nursing career and she spent many hours volunteering at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, and the Guelph General Hospital, during her retirement years. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 10 a.m. Gladys’ ashes will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph.
