Hutchinson, Gordon Moore D.D.S. , M.D., F.R.C.S. (c) 1931-2013 Gordon Moore Hutchinson died peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Thursday, May 23, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Carol, loving father of Ann Thompson (Mark) and Margot Chiasson (Wayne). Proud Poppy of Michael, Laura, Nicole, Henry and Jane. He will also be lovingly remembered by his step-children Karen and John Duthie. Predeceased by his brother Dr. Bruce Hutchinson and by his first wife Mary Patricia Stewart. He is survived by his brother Dr. Alan Hutchinson of Michigan and by nieces and nephews Gail, Joan, Laura, Nancy, Jim, Bryan and David. He leaves his half-brother Graeme of Amhurstburg. Gordon was born in Walkerville (Windsor), the third son of Grace (Moore) and Dr. Edgar Hutchinson. Following graduation from Amhurstburg High School, he entered Dentistry at the University of Toronto. Enrolement in Medicine ensued the completion of his dental degree, where he acheived a specialty degree in ear, nose and throat after graduation in medicine. He will be remembered as an enthusiastic gardener, a keen fisherman, with a devotion to hiking, biking, golf, and tennis. He became an avid bird watcher, with a well-trained eye for detail. His kindness and generousity to others will live on in the hearts of many. In accordance with Gordon's wishes, a private family service will be followed by interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph. Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Doctors without Borders, or to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated by the family (cards are available at the funeral home 519-821-5077 or send condolences at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com ).
