Hubert William Cavanaugh

Beloved husband to Linda Cavanaugh. Loving father to the late Nathan, Jenni and Heather Cavanaugh. Proud grandfather of Zachary, Mallori, Nicholas, Kollin, Cheri, and Tyler, and great-grandfather to Tessa and Darci. Cherished brother of Mary Ann Wylie, Edward Cavanaugh, the late Danny Cavanaugh, Debbie Hodgson, Betty Goodyear, and Frank Cavanaugh. Predeceased by his late wife Gaye Cavanaugh and his parents Edward and Barbara Cavanaugh. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Born in Toronto, ON, Hubert took charge early in life, selflessly caring for his family and supporting his mother and siblings through every challenge. As a dedicated lift truck operator, Hubert was known for his hard work and reliability, always giving his best in all that he did. Hubert had a passion for cars, with a special fondness for Lincolns, and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, from a Sunday drive to socializing and sharing stories with friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family would like to extend their utmost gratitude to all the staff at the Elliot Community in Guelph for their fantastic care and support during his time there.

Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N, Guelph. A Visitation for Hubert will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 10:00-11:00AM. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel. Reception to follow.
