Jan, Jeff and Lauren, words cannot express the depths of your sorrow for your sweet son and brother. A profound loss. May you find peace in your cherished memories and comfort and strength in one another as you move through this grief.

Jan, It's Melanie. How you must ache as you lean into your grief. My memories of James were told through you as we sat in your office in Milton or sipped wine at a watering hole. I heard how deeply he is loved, I saw your beautiful mothering. The last time we met was the day I dropped into the hospital as I visited my friend, you had submitted your resignation to Janet, it was a full moon. The moon is again full on the 13th. I send you strength and vulnerability, I send you love and compassion. To Jeff and to Lauren the same. The love I send to you reaches across the provinces.
Melanie.

My condolences. I only knew James through a business relationship. He was a wonderful young man who was always a joy to deal with. He will be missed.
Michelle Collins

I am so sorry for your terrible loss. I can't begin to understand what you're going through. I remember James as a young boy at Rockwood Centennial, going to school with my daughter Emma Eckerich. He came to our house sometimes, and I remember Emma being in a panic about any traces of peanut butter in the house! My other daughter, Holly, (who was friends with Lauren) told me about James' accident. I cried. It's so unfair when someone so young is taken from us. My parents had to bury my brother when he was 28 years old. I saw their terrible pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I will think of him often. James will watch over your family from Heaven.
Cathy Retford (Eckerich)
