Born on December 14, 1959, Jeff was the beloved son of Kenneth and Margaret (Mike).
Jeff will be forever loved and deeply missed by his sisters, affectionately nicknamed “Three Dog Night”, Cathy “Happy”, Shelley (Ken), and Sherry (Len), along with Alyssa and Shaun (Michelle).
To his nieces and nephew, Tessa “Ralph” (John), Rachel (Ronan), and Julia (Jeremy), Ashton, and Mikayla, he was simply “Uncle Lumpy,” a title he wore proudly. He was a dedicated dance uncle for many years… even if it was sometimes a little begrudgingly.
Jeff was the proud Great-Uncle Lumpy to Camden, Naevy, Wellington, Jude, Brynne, and soon Poppy.
Whether it was Football Sundays, a game of horseshoes or pool with friends, and sharing laughs with the people he loved, Jeff treasured the simple moments that brought everyone together. Football Sundays will never be the same without him.
If you’re ever enjoying a drink at The Real Deal in Guelph, raise a glass in Jeff’s honour. We know he’d appreciate the company.
Jeff will also be fondly remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and countless friends whose lives were brighter because he was part of them.
In keeping with Jeff’s wishes, a private family service will be held. For those wishing to honour his memory, donations can may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing Jeff has found peace and is likely already winning a game of horseshoes with his buddies.
