FISCHER, James (Jim) Norman - Passed away at the Guelph General Hospital on Sunday, July 28, 2013. James N. Fischer, age 89 years, beloved husband of Edith (Edie) (nee Carey) Fischer. Dear father of Michael and his wife Teresa Keelan of Guelph, Lynn and her husband Neil Knudsen of Ottawa, Jeffrey and his wife Lisa of London and Peter and his wife Christine of Fergus. Dear Grandpa of Ben, Emily, Zach, Ingrid, Michael, Owen, Peter, Samantha, Sara, Alexandra, Emma, Andrew and Blake. Survived by his dear brother Donald and his wife Sheila of Brantford, sisters-in-law Anne of Kitchener, Marjorie of Guelph and Judy of Ayr. Predeceased by his brothers Walter, Harold, Frank, John and Pat. Jim was a past employee of United Breeders and Guelph and Wellington Credit Union. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers for James will be held Tuesday evening at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Church (409 Paisley Rd.) on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Marymount Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph's Church or the Society of St. Vincent de Paul would be appreciated by the family.
