

BRYDEN, John Robert ‘Jack' - Passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the age of 86 at the Guelph General Hospital. Beloved husband of Jean Bryden, for 53 years, and loving father of Susan Bryden-Cromwell (Douglas) and Marnie Larkin (Bryan). Forever cherished and remembered by his grandchildren Micaley and Brad. Dearest brother of William and James and pre-deceased by his sister Lois. He will be dearly missed by many nephews, great nephews and great nieces. Jack was a decorated Navy veteran, serving in World War II on the H.M. Annan. He graduated in 1950 from the Ontario Agricultural College and was a long-serving member of Cyanamid where he was twice awarded the International Golden Oval Award for his agricultural knowledge and excellence. Upon his retirement, he joined the team at Nieuland Feed where he was a familiar face throughout Waterloo and Wellington County for more than 20 years. Jack was a dear friend to many over the years, and loved spending time with his family by the pool and at the cottage. He had a deep love for animals, particularly for his many dogs who were always at his side. At his request, cremation has taken place. The family will host a Memorial Service at a later date.
