It is a mixture of shock and sadness to learn of John's passing.
When we were both students and even after John and his family were a place of reflection in a challenging world. Knowing him meant a  lot to me.

I didn’t know John personally but I have heard all about him from Jeff.  He sounds like a wonderful man.
