Lyman "Buddy" Edmund Boudreau

Buddy was the beloved husband of Agnes Boudreau (née Jacquard) for 65 wonderful years and was the very proud, loving and devoted father to Gary (Laurie) Boudreau, Lynn Boudreau and Devin (Michele) Boudreau.

Adored grandfather to Anthony and Clayton Boudreau-Stokman, Brent, Dennis, Andre, Elliot and Deegan Boudreau. He was also a family patriarch to his Acadian heritage.

He was the dear brother of the late Florine (Wallace) DeViller, Diana (Jerry) Highton, Walter Boudreau, the late Donna (James) Landry, Jackie Boudreau, and Debbie (Mark) Chilvers. Buddy will be missed by all of his many friends and extended family.

Buddy was born in Melbourne, Nova Scotia to Hubert and Lottie Boudreau on September 11, 1939. Raised mostly by his beloved grandparents Pérepère (Eugene) and Mémère (Lizzy) Boudreau. Buddy first met Agnes (wife) at Church in Wedgeport, Nova Scotia at 16 years of age. At the age of 18 Buddy was offered a chance to come to Ontario with a group of friends who paid his way, to get jobs and left his home in Plymouth. Agnes his girlfriend from Wedgeport later followed him to Ontario and they married on July 8, 1962.

Buddy worked in his trades; Sheet Metal and Welding for 46 years and was proud of his craftsmanship and work. He was respected amongst his coworkers for his talents and personality. Together Buddy and Agnes met many lifelong friends: Jansens, DeJongs, Westervelds, Norris's, Harringhtons & Bedfords. Fishing and snowmobiling where two of his passions. He spent many hours on the water, fishing reminding himself of his childhood by the sea. Including on the rocks in Southampton, or with many of his fishing partners.

Summers were enjoyed by visits to family in Nova Scotia and at the Park in Port Elgin. Buddy had many friends old and young all over Canada. Christmas was always a special time with his wife in their family tradition of making Acadian Rappie Pie, it was celebrated by many.

Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Buddy's life at Gilbert Macintyre and Sons Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph, ON. on August 21th, 2026. A visitation of his remains will be held between 12:00 and 2:00PM, followed by a celebration of life Mass at 2:00PM. A reception with light refreshments to follow. Arrangements can be entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home.
