
SEMPLE, Margaret Mary: Margaret Semple (née Henebery) passed away at the Guelph General Hospital on February 5, 2010 in her 94th year. She was predeceased in 2005 by Campbell Semple, her beloved husband of 65 years, and by her eldest daughter Frances (MacKellar) in 1989. Margaret is survived by sons James (Fern) of New Liskeard, Robert (Ann) of Sarnia, and Paul (Cheryl) of Oakville, daughters Margaret (Greg Dugdale) of Angus, Esther (Tony Hayes) of Guelph, Joanne (Brian Hankinson) of Edmonton, Barbara (Aubrey Kellawan) of Guelph, and son-in-law, Tod MacKellar of Grimsby. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and by 2 great-grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by her brothers, Frank and Philip Henebery, and by sisters Susan Oddeholm, Dorothy Attwater and Phyllis Hughes. The Semple family is grateful for the excellent care and kindness of the doctors and nursing staff at Guelph General Hospital, as well as the staff of the Ellington Retirement home in Guelph where she resided happily for 5 years. Memorial visitation will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma Street, Guelph at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 12, 2010 with Father Bernard Carroll Officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes will take place at St Joseph's Cemetery in Bracebridge at a later date. Margaret was a retired teacher and a lifelong advocate for children, especially those with special needs.
