

SCOTT, Mark Douglas (1955-2009) - The family, with great sadness, announce the passing of Mark, in Campbell River, British Columbia, on Monday May 25, 2009, beloved son of Lourene Scott of Guelph and the late Roderick Scott (2003). Beloved brother of Debra Scott Colborne (Owen), and dear uncle of Evan Scott Colborne and Lauren Taylor Colborne all of Mississauga. Also survived and greatly missed by partner Shari Drinkwater of Campbell River, B.C. and many cousins, aunts and uncles. Mark was an honour graduate of G.C.V.I., Guelph; Ryerson University, Toronto and received a Master of Science Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, N.Y., U.S.A. Mark worked in management positions in the tourist industry in Ontario; British Columbia and Bermuda. Mark taught English as a second language in South Korea; taught for the West Indies Ministry of Education in Nassau and Conestoga College in Kitchener. Employers would seek him out to identify and fix their computers. Mark was an ardent wildlife supporter and loved fishing and golf. In his younger years he was involved in scouts, venturers horticulture and 4H clubs. Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, (Monday June 1, 10-11am).A Funeral service will be held on Monday June 1, in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment of ashes, Memory Gardens.
