Nadia Schmidt

Schmidt (née Dal Bo), Nadia Maria (September 22 1947-June 8 2012) . Peacefully at Lisaard House, after a courageous battle with cancer, Nadia will go to eternal rest. Loving wife of forty-two years to Wayne Schmidt. She will be sadly missed by her loving daughters Kara (Giovanni) Schmidt-Fusco, and Melanie (Matthew) Callan. Nadia’s four grandchildren brought her immense joy ; she leaves behind Serena and Lorenzo of Nice, France, and Riley and Connor of Mount Albert. Lovingly remembered by her brother Sebastian (Debbie) Dal Bo of Guelph and numerous family members and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Eva and Ottavio Dal Bo. Special thank you to the nurses and doctors who assisted Nadia throughout her journey. Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, with funeral Monday, June 11, 2012 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Canadian Cancer Society or Lisaard House in Cambridge.
