Noel Peter Donald Christie

Born on June 15, 1942, to Mildred (nee Peer) and Lindsay Sr. Christie, (both predeceased), Noel was a proud Guelphite who married the love of his life and best friend, Fran (nee Karn) (predeceased 2018), on his birthday in 1963.

Loving Dad to Michele and her husband Kevin Orr, Janet and her husband Jason Evans, and Marcia and her husband Paul Matteis, all of Guelph. Caring Grandad of Nathan (Sharon), Lindsay, Kyle (Robyn), Nicole (Mathew), Alexa (Samuel), Ryan (Olivia), and Nolan. Dear Great-Grandad to Aiden and Sierra.

Cherished sibling of Gary (Wynne), Kurt (Sandy), and Paul (Nadia) Christie. He is predeceased by his eldest brothers, Ed (late Helen) and Lindsay Jr. Christie. Noel treasured the companionship of his brothers and their Monday morning coffee gatherings for many years.

Lovingly remembered by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Murray and Susan Karn, John and Glenda Karn, Mary and Norman Freidin, as well as many nieces and nephews from the Christie and Karn families.

Noel enjoyed working for many years as a part of the family business, FASTFORMS, working alongside his brothers. He was a quiet, kind, and selfless man who gave back to his community in countless ways through his volunteer work. His gentle nature, generosity, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to June Wilson (PSW), the Village of Arbour Trails, GGH 6West, and the St. Joseph’s Palliative Care Team (Dr. B.) for their compassion and support.

Arrangements are entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin St. N., Guelph, ON. Private family service and interment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park. A celebration of Noel’s life will be held at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation, The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital, or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

To honour Noel’s memory, please “sprinkle kindness like confetti.” 💙
