Norina Bellai

Peacefully and surrounded by her loving children, Norina passed away at the age of 89 on April 22, 2016. She left behind a legacy of family values and was an inspiration to all. Beloved wife of the late Daniele Orasio Bellai. Dear Mamma of Agnes (Ralph), Deni (Eileen), Luigi (Tammy) and Sandra (Danny). Cherished Nonna of Allanah (Mark), Stephanie, Lauren (Michael), Kristen, Brandon, Catrina, Jasmine and Megan. Dear Sister and Sister in Law to Luigi and Anna, Ernesto and Pulcheria, Marcella and Angelo, Giovanni and Luigina, Luigina and Mario, Tulio and Stella, Angelo and Guglelma, Peter and Teresa, Mario and Mary, Terry and Audrey, Virginia and Vittorino, Rita and Franco, Maria and Bruno and Egidia and Uldino. Zia Norina will be miss also by her many nieces and nephews. Norina moved from Italy to Canada to marry her fiancé in 1952. Mamma was a big part of many lives and we were all lucky to have had such a special lady grace us. She embodied love of family, deep faith in God and a passion for cooking, gardening and life. There was nothing she enjoyed more than puttering in her garden. Chatting on her front porch with neighbours and friends. Norina recently moved to The Elliott Retirement Home where she enjoyed the community life, the residents and the staff. The family would like to thank the staff of the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital especially Dr. Banks and Dr. Lindner and the entire nursing staff in the palliative care unit. Friends and family will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St, on Monday, April 25th, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 26th , 2016 at 10:30 a.m. At St. John’s Church, 45 Victoria Rd. N., Guelph, Ontario. Burial to follow at Marymount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
