Rita Godin

Rita Godin of Guelph, Ontario, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday June 27th, 2017 in her 90th year. She is predeceased by her husband Bortolo (1991) and many dear relatives and friends. Loving mother of Mary and her husband Henry and Roseanne. Nonna will be missed by her grandchildren Andrea and Laird MacDonald, Sean and Kylie Treier, Matthew and Michael Jandrisits and great granddaughter, Kensington Treier.

Mom is remembered for her wit, her caring and compassion. She was a pillar of strength during our times of need providing support, encouragement and sound advice. We are grateful for the years she spent selflessly looking after dad and her grandchildren.

Mom bravely lived with Alzheimer’s disease for the last 10 years. We’d like to thank all of the caregivers who contributed greatly to her care. They did this with compassion, respect and dignity and a love that will not be forgotten. God bless you all.

Family and friends are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A family vigil will take place in our chapel Monday at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John’s Parish, 45 Victoria Rd. N., on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery.
