He was born and raised in Guelph and saw a world of changes in his great long life. He loved the outdoors, especially camping, fishing and boating. He loved to dance and was the life of every party! After retirement, he and his late wife Anne (2015) travelled the world in their fifth wheel and made many friends along the way.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter Deb Ingham (Steve), and his son, Don, his grandchildren Carolynn and Michelle (Mike), Marissa (Spencer) and Michael, and his great-grandson Luca, who loved sitting on his knee in his wheelchair and going for a ride!
Verne and Anne will now be together again, forever.
Our family would like to thank everyone at The Elliott in Nottingham for all their kindness and support – he loved you all!
Cremation has taken place. A private family celebration was his wish. In lieu of flowers, any donation to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or Epilepsy Canada would be appreciated.
