WATT, Robert-- January 11, 1932 - January 29, 2011 Beloved friend and confidant of Anne (Ferraro) Dmetriuc. Robert will be greatly missed by Anne and his sisters, Jean Foltz and Cathy Crawford and their families. Predeceased by parents Robert and Catherine Watt and siblings Margaret Dickieson and Tom Watt. Robert was affectionately known as "Rob," "Robbie," or "Bob" by his family, neighbours and friends and he was known for whistling tunes. They always knew when Rob was around. Robert was a 35-year employee of CN Express before his retirement. He enjoyed many years driving in the countryside, viewing nature and the outdoors and the wonderment of God's creations. After a courageous six-year battle with COPD, Rob will enjoy being in the Good Lord's gardens. God knew that he was suffering That the hills were hard to climb So He closed his weary eyelids And whispered, "Peace Be Thine." Away in the beautiful hills of God By the valley of rest so fair Some day we know not when We will meet our loved one there. Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel immediately following this visitation at 12 p.m. Interment, Woodlawn Cemetery, Guelph.
